Coast. Inspired by a beautiful drone shot I came across online, 'Coast' is a stylised version of that dramatic and inspiring photograph. With the vibrant ocean weaving its way through the sea worn boulders and it's man made tidal pool, this original has a great deal of energy to offer. Created with sands from Gower beaches, ground Mussel shells, wild charcoal and soils from the Scottish Munro Being Ghlas, 'Coast' stands at 18x22" (larger in frame) and is a feast for any shore lover. Adding to the seaweed are oil pastels - highlighting sections with yellow ochre and weaving lines of snowy white ink throughout the landscape. The dynamic nature of this piece was so important and I am truly happy with the end result.
