EARTHAs part of my latest Element series, 'Earth' is the first of the Miniatures measuring in at 9.5x12".No less dramatic due to its size, this original is densly textured - the most prominent of which is my newest pigment which has been created from ground Mussel shells. Accompanying it is a thick layer of charcoal and a base of powdered Oak root (taken from a fallen ancient oak near my home). 'Earth' by name, this dramatic work has river clay from Pen Y Fan and Helvellyn mountains as well as soils from the Munros Beinn Ghlas and one of my newest additions - Schiehallion. Finishing 'Earth' is a layer of genuine hand hammered Italian silver. 'Earth' is available framed or unframed.
