The turquoise waters that kiss the black volcanic lands are met by a glacial energy.
Inspired by the dramatic Icelandic landscape, Jökull translates as Glacier. There is something so spectacular about Iceland and its intense geothermal activity - moulding and shaping the shorelines and inspiring us with its unique colours and textures.
This dramatic coastal original has been created using pigment from the Scottish Munros Ben Moore, Schiehallion, Ben Nevis and Stob Binnein. Unique and inspiring landscapes in themselves. Charcoal and Gower sands were added to give this piece a dense and raw appeal and the inclusion of river water gives Jökull a wonderfully pure energy.
