'Magma' in Icelandic. 'Kvika' is an extremely dramatic original which is entirely covered in a dense layer of pigment. This is the only piece of its kind in my range and the first to have such a bold and intense colour scheme. Layers of charcoals and the earth of Munros Ben Moore, Schiehallion, Ben Nevis and Stob Binnein are built into 'Kvika' to mimic Icelands raw natural land. Using a mix of pouring acrylics, coastal red clays and ancient ground wood, the magma was built up in layers to giving the impression of an icelandic lava flow, slowly rolling across the black volcanic landscape. 
Finishing 'Kvika' are highlights of genuine 22 carat Latin gold.
