Created using my own paint which are made by hand from natural pigments found around Wales, this piece has soils from the highest point of Gower, sands from the local beaches, and clays from our beautiful mountains. Each pigment is dried for a number of weeks before being ground down, sieved and ground again. Only once the consistency is right do I then mix it with binding agents to apply it as paint. In this instance, that lovely purple hue has been created by adding my acrylics and mixed with pure rain water.

This piece has some delicate hints at a cove filled with sleeping boats, their masts and hulls bobbing on a gentle tide.
