'Navigation'
'Navigation'
14x18"
This smaller but deeply textured piece is a true sight for sore eyes. Created using some of my newest pigments from the dramatic Scottish Munros - Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas, 'Navigation' is a mix of abstract with another of the almost ghostly vessels coming through the sea mist. I've also used coastal pigments on this original that were sourced in view of the sea on the beautiful Gower Peninsula. Unlike many of the smaller originals, 'Navigation' has a tremendous amount of gold! With not one, but two veins of 22carat Latin gold running across its centre, it gives the piece three separate stories within itself. The bottom - the rockiest and textured of all is perhaps the shoreline, the centre is a dramatic and energetic ocean, while the top has hints of sea mist and the mountains peaks of distant shores
