Inspired from our own storm wracked coastline, 'Tempest' is created from shoreline natural pigments and earthy soils found along the staggeringly beautiful Gower Peninsula. With its weather worn cliffs and salty harbours, the energy of this piece is undeniable. Towering waves crashing against the black rocks, rip tides and shoals of glistening fish make up the core of this large and dramatic painting. Even the pigments are mixed with pure rain water.
Finished with hand hammered Italian silver that's set against an ocean of Prussian blue and sea greens, 'Tempest' is perhaps the most energetic piece yet.
